I don’t think Black Adam is as terrible as the critics made it out to be. Sure some of the characters may have been underdeveloped, but the film is at least a “B-,” maybe a solid “C+.”
One thing I thought brought the movie down was the kid actor in the movie. The kid’s only real purpose was to serve as exposition and to try to teach Black Adam how to be a hero, similar to how Freddy Freeman was trying to teach Billy how to be a hero in the first Shazam movie. The kid was a terrible actor and really could’ve been removed from the film without anyone missing his performance.
Pierce Brosnan was the main highlight in the movie. His performance as Dr. Fate really gave heart to the film. I wish their was a spin-off film focused on mainly the Justice Society.
I guess millions of comedians across North America are going to lose their most valuable easy target. 😛
